Swiss flight schools teach many different varieties of plane piloting.

Many countries have schools that are specifically tailored to teach students how to fly in a plane. This is true of Switzerland. Several flight schools are located inside Swiss borders. This being the case, you might have trouble knowing where the flight schools are and what specifically they teach to their students.

  1. EFOS Flight-Charter AG

    • EFOS Flight-Charter AG is a school that is located in Kloten, Switzerland on the western end of the country. The courses offered at EFOS teach students the differences between the most common planes such as commercial planes, charter jets and cargo carriers. Students learn basic training theories and techniques of multi-engine jets and specialized planes. EFOS offers certificates for each one of these types of aircraft.

    • Flugschule Grenchen, or the Flight School of Grenchen, as it is called in English, offers students several courses in flying independent planes with smaller engine sizes. Offered courses teach students how to maneuver and operate smaller planes with fewer moving parts. Students can also pursue training in stunt flying for the more adventurous individuals.

    • Flugsportgruppe Grenchen is another flight school located in Grenchen, Switzerland. This particular school offers students the opportunity to learn how to fly small private planes and jets. Plane programs covered include personal flight, small scale passenger flight and miniature aircraft flight. Students also learn how to fly at night. Students have the option to get their flying certification to be able to legally fly in the country of Switzerland.

    • The Swiss AviationTraining Ltd. center is a subsidiary of Swiss Airlines and deals with students that want to learn how to fly commercial planes and jets. The Swiss AviationTraining Ltd is actually located in Zurich and offers courses year long about the theory and practice of flying larger planes over international waters. Training often deals with small groups of potential pilots learning how to trust one another and how to work off of one another during long flights. Potential pilots also learn basic maintenance practice for specific types of planes.
