Places to Go Mudding in Florida
Florida's natural beauty offers several opportunities for legal off-road mudding activities. Three national forests have designated trails, and several commercial trails and tracks also have mud bogging areas. Each location has its own rules and some fees or permits might be required.

Ocala

The Ocala National Forest is known as Florida's top off-roading destination as it features nearly 200 miles of ATV/motorcycle trails and 81 miles of off-road trails for four-wheel drive vehicles. There are several camping opportunities available at the park. An off-highway vehicle pass is required and other fees may apply. Hard Rock Cycle Park offers an off-road vehicle area complete with a mudding area, trails, a rock garden and big climbs. The park offers RV and primitive camping, and there are several nearby hotels.

L-Cross Extreme Events is open year-round and also offers special events on its 1,200 acres of open wilderness. It has a motorcross track as well as 10 miles of all-terrain vehicle trails and a mud bogging pit.

Near Tallahassee

The Apalachicola National Forest offers trails and mudding areas for off-road vehicles. An off-highway vehicle pass is required and other fees may apply. Located in Florida's Panhandle, southwest of Tallahassee, the Apalachicola is known for its untamed natural beauty.
Near Jacksonville

The Osceola National Forest boasts natural areas for hiking, camping and off-roading. Some fees and permits are required but an off-highway vehicle permit is free.
Chipley

The Hard Labor Creek Off-Road Park has trails and mud-bogging areas primarily for dirt bikes, four-wheel all-terrain vehicles and side-by-side vehicles. Tent and RV camping is available.
