Military Girlfriend Support Groups
Being a military girlfriend is a job all on its own. If your boyfriend is stationed overseas or on a deployment, you may not have the opportunity to see him or even speak with him very often. Joining a military support group can offer you a wide variety of information, suggestions or just friends to share your feelings with.

Facebook

Many people have a Facebook account to socialize and stay up-to-date with their friends and family. Facebook also allows users to create their own group pages based on topics of interest such as the group "Military Wives and Girlfriends... the Hardest Job in the Military." Joining support groups on Facebook allows you to stay up to date with other military girlfriends that may be facing the same issues as you. You can communicate through instant chat messages, private personal messages and group posts. You do not need to join the group if you just want to read other people's comments, but if you wish to leave your own comments, simply click the "Like" button at the top of the page. Once you "Like" the page, you may comment at anytime and the page will be saved on your Facebook page for easy access. You may also be able to search for other groups on Facebook that offer military support.
