Christian Art Projects
Art is an effective way to learn and teach Christianity lessons while exploring creativity. Creating art that reflects your Christian beliefs can help share your faith, strengthen your art skills or simply enhance your own enjoyment. You can choose from many media, such as clay, paints, and even beading. A few popular Christian art projects include making stain glass windows, painting crosses, and constructing devotional boxes.

Scripture Stone Devotional
-
Reading a daily devotional verse helps you learn scriptures and stay connected to your faith. Collect a variety of smooth stones or purchase them from your local craft store. Paint the stones different colors. Paint the words of the verse, as well as the book, chapter and verse number(s) of the bible. Once the stones have dried, randomly choose a stone every day and read the correlating bible verse. These stones can also be used as paper weights or ornaments.
Biblical Sun Catchers
-
Sun catchers sparkle and illuminate when the sun hits them. Choose your favorite bible story to use as the basis of your sun catcher. The rainbow from Noah's Ark or the Star of Bethlehem, for example, are popular sun catcher themes. To make a quick and easy sun catcher, select a simple coloring page and cut out the blank spaces. Glue a piece of clear cellophane to the back of the coloring page. Glue tiny pieces of colorful tissue paper onto the cut-out areas until they are all filled in. Use a hole punch to make a hole for hanging at the top of the page.

Biblical Ornaments
-
You can give hand-painted ornaments as gifts, or use them as decorations or keepsakes. Paint biblical Chistmas themes, like the three wise men or Jesus in a manger, on white ornaments. Use these ornaments to decorate a Christmas tree or a place setting. Include blessings or prayer requests on the ornaments to add a special message.
Bible Story Stippling
-
Stippling is an art form that creates pictures using tiny dots. The bible contains many memorable stories that can be told through stippling. Find a story in the bible and choose a picture that sums up the story. An ark in water or animals walking into an ark tells the story of Noah's Ark. Use numerous colors or one color to create your stippling artwork.
