Dyersburg State Community College is a public school located about an hour and a half north of Memphis. DSCC offers a fully accredited LPN/RN bridge program that leads to an associate of applied science degree in nursing. The program is five semesters in length and generally takes one and a half years to complete. Coursework includes Introduction to Nursing, Transitions to Nursing, Intro to Pharmacology, Nursing Care and Dimensions of Practice. Graduates of the program are eligible to take the National Council Licensure Examination (NCLEX-RN) to become a licensed registered nurse.

2 Columbia State Community College

Columbia State Community College is located about an hour south of Nashville. CSCC is a public community college that offers a fully accredited LPN/RN program leading to an associate of applied science degree. CSCC offers two program options: a two-semester and a three-semester plan. Both programs incorporate the same classes but differ in the time frame for completion. Coursework includes Basic Medical-Surgical Nursing, Developmental Psychology, Health of Women and Infants and Psychiatric/Mental Health Nursing. Graduates are qualified to take the NCLEX-RN exam.

Roane State Community College is a public school located in Harriman, about an hour west of Knoxville. RSCC's LPN/RN program is fully accredited and leads to an associate in applied science degree in nursing. Some of the classes in this program include Care of the Childbearing Family, Pharmacology in Nursing, Psychosocial Nursing and Transitions to Nursing Practice. The program takes about one and a half years to complete. Graduates are also eligible to take the NCLEX-RN exam.
