Horse Birthday Parties for Kids

You can easily throw a horse themed birthday party.

If your little one has a love of all things horse, a horse themed birthday party could be just the thing to ensure your child's next birthday is one she will always remember. There are a number of different types of horse parties you can throw, and choosing the one that works best for your family is easy.

Cowboy

A cowboy themed birthday party is ideal for a horse lover, and can be put together on the cheap. Give party guests cowboy hats to wear, which can also be taken home as a party favor. Organize some horse games like Pin the Tail on the Horse, or lassoing a plastic horse outside.

Petting Zoo

If it's in your budget, you can contact a petting zoo to see if they have any miniature horses you can rent for party guests to play with. Kids can pet the ponies in your backyard, and if the horses are able, take short pony rides around the yard.

Ranch

If you're close to a ranch, see if the place allows parties of kids to come in and explore the ranch. Kids can see how a real horse ranch operates, and can help wash, feed and exercise the horses. Then you can set up a picnic table for snacks and cake afterwards.

Pony Party

For a simple party, invite little girls to come over for a tea party with their favorite pony toy. It's a twist on a doll's tea party, and the girls can groom their horses, braid their manes, then sit down for tea cakes and juices at a pretty table decorated in a My Little Pony Theme.
