Gift Ideas & Gift Baskets as Wedding Gifts
Many couples who are getting married start a bridal registry, allowing their guests to choose a gift from a list of items wanted by the couple. However, if the couple does not have a registry, finding the perfect gift can be difficult. Thinking creatively, however, can get your gift ideas flowing as well as save you a lot of time and effort.

Household Item Gift Basket
-
Visit a home goods store and pick out an assortment of small household gadgets typically needed for a kitchen and assemble them into a gift basket. Some items to include are a can opener, cooking utensils, bag clips, a pair of kitchen scissors, a small frying pan, measuring cups and a cheese grater. Place the items in a wicker basket and wrap the entire basket in clear cellophane tied together with a thick white ribbon. You can add more flair to the gift by attaching a balloon and card to the basket.
Money
-
Money may seem like an impersonal gift, but it is actually one of the most popular gift-giving solutions for a newly married couple. If they are starting out together in a new home or apartment, the money can be used to buy everyday items needed to set up their home. Conversely, the money can be applied to the balance of the wedding, which can often be expensive depending on how extravagant it is.

Champagne Flute Basket
-
Purchase a set of crystal champagne flutes for the couple to use on special occasions, such as on their honeymoon or anniversary. Often packaged in elegant boxes, crystal flutes are often more expensive than standard glass flutes due to their glistening appearance. To wrap the gift, gently wrap the box in a basket lined with white, faux-pearl beads. As a thoughtful addition, set a few small bags of home-baked cookies around the flutes or even a celebratory bottle of champagne.
Photo Album
-
Purchase a large plain photo album and decorate it yourself. Use wedding-themed materials, such as white ribbons and beads, to decorate the album and use glitter paint to personalize the album with the couple's names and the date of their wedding. Leave the album blank to allow the couple to use it to hold any photos taken at the wedding. If you want to give the album in a gift basket, also purchase a digital camera and memory card to complete the theme.
