Ideas for Fun Things to Do on a Date
Make a date interesting with fun things to do. No matter if it's the first date you're going on with someone or one of many dates to come, dating does not have to be boring. Plan activities that both of you will enjoy doing together. For first-time daters, having options of fun things to do can easily break the ice to sometimes awkward situations.
-
Music Concert
-
Rock, rap and pop music concerts can be full of energy. Share this energy together with your date. Go to see an artist whose music both of you enjoying. While at the concert, sing and dance along to the music. Grab something to eat and drink before or after the show. Purchase your tickets before the show and print them out at home on your computer or pick them up at will call so you won't have to wait in long lines.
Live Show Tapings
-
See Hollywood up close and personal while on your date. If you live in a city where a television sitcom, talk show or game show is taped, you can attend a live taping together. Check with the studio or the show's website to acquire tickets for you and your date. There is no charge to attend live tapings of shows. If there are tours that are offered at the studio, go on them together.
-
Roller Skating
-
Some of the most fun dates are the ones that get two people outside together. Strap on a pair of roller skates and take your date on an outdoor roller-skating excursion. If your date doesn't know how to roller skate, you'll have fun teaching them. It could also bring you closer together. Pick an open space that does not have a lot of obstacles or people to navigate around, such as in a park or on a beach sidewalk. Wear the proper safety equipment while roller skating.
Comedy Club
-
You and your date are bound to have fun at a comedy club. Comedy clubs feature local and national comedians. The date will be filled with laughter as these comedians give you their opinions on politics, relationships and other topics. Pick a night when amateur comedians are featured. If you or your date have the nerves and are not overcome with stage fright, sign up before the show and perform as a comedian for the night.
