Wedding Wagons for Kids
A wedding wagon is a decorated wagon that can serve multiple purposes at a wedding. Kids can participate in a wedding by pulling or riding in the wagon for a specific moment during the wedding ceremony or reception. Decorate your wagon to reflect your wedding theme or colors, and allow a child to ride or pull the wagon in style.

Type of Wagon
-
Use a wagon for the child to pull or sit in. Various types of wagons can be used. The wagon does not need to be any larger than a traditional child-size wagon. A red, Radio Flyer wagon, plastic or wooden wagon can be used. A wagon with a handle will be necessary.
Decorations
-
Decorate the wedding wagon for the child to sit in or pull. Add decorative elements that reflect your overall wedding theme or wedding colors you have selected. For example, for a beach themed wedding, you can put seashells on the wagon. For more traditional themes, put ribbon, flowers, balloons, or greenery around the sides of the wagon. You can also put real or silk flower petals inside the wagon. Cover the wagon in fabric, or consider painting the names of the bride and groom on the sides. If a child is going to pull the wagon and not sit in it, put appetizers on plates inside the wagon. The child can help pass out the food prior for the reception. Another option is to put wedding favors inside the wagon that the child can also pass out at the reception.

Who Rides or Pulls the Wagon
-
If the bride or groom have small children, they can be pulled down the aisle in the wagon at the beginning of the ceremony. The ring bearer can be pulled down the aisle in the wagon while holding the ring on a pillow. The bride and groom can select an important relative or child of a friend to pull or sit in the wagon. If the child is too young to walk, have an adult or an older child pull them in the wagon.
When Do They Ride or Pull the Wagon
-
The chosen child can pull or be pulled in the wagon down the aisle at the start of the wedding ceremony. Another option is for the child to pull the wagon around during the wedding reception. This would be necessary if the child is handing out appetizers or wedding favors that are inside of the wagon. Additionally, any guest who is a child can take turns riding in the wagon at appropriate times during the wedding reception for entertainment. This could be done while dancing is taking place.
