Full Sail University is in Winter Park, Florida, near Orlando. Full Sail offers both an associate and bachelor's degree in recording arts. Full Sail was originally founded as a school specializing in music and sound. Both programs focuses on four areas: sound fundamentals, recording and mixing, music production and post-production. A high school diploma or GED, along with a letter of recommendation, is required for admission to the school.

The International Academy of Design & Technology is located in Tampa, Florida. IADT offers a Bachelor of Fine Arts in audio production. The degree includes study of music theory, recording, mixing and sound design in a number of different media. Admission requires a personal interview and completion of high school. IADT doesn't offer on-campus student housing, but does offer assistance in locating off-campus housing.
