National Black MBA Association Scholarships
The National Black MBA Association, or NBMBAA, provides support to African-Americans pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree across the United States. The organization has partnerships with over 400 business organizations in both the public and private sector. African-American students who plan to pursue a career in business or other related professions can apply for assistance through the NBMBAA. The organization awards several scholarships yearly based on a student's merit and financial needs.

Undergraduate Scholarship Program

The National Black MBA Association's Undergraduate Scholarship Program awards minority business students who are sponsored through local chapters of the organization. As of the 2010-2011 academic school year, the scholarship awarded $1,000 to selected students. A student's community service, grade point average and extracurricular activities are considered during the selection process. Students are required to submit an essay and undergo an interview to be considered. Deadlines for the scholarship vary based on the student's local chapter.
NBMBAA Collegiate Chapter Scholarship Program

The Collegiate Chapter Scholarship Program is open to minority students who are full-time members of the National Black MBA Association. A student must also be a member of the local chapter if one exists. As of the 2010-2011 academic school year, the scholarship awarded up to $5,000 to selected winners. During the selection process, a student's leadership potential, community service and grade point average will be considered. Some recipients will be invited to attend the NBMBAA's annual conference.

NBMBAA Graduate Scholarship Program

The National Black MBA Association's Graduate Scholarship Program is open to minority students who are enrolled full-time in a graduate program within the United States or Canada. As of the 2010-2011 academic school year, the scholarship awarded up to $15,000 to selected winners who are able to demonstrate leadership potential and strong communication skills. Recipients of the award are required to become active members of the local NBMBAA chapter and the Scholarship Advisory Team and Scholarship Alumni Club.
NBMBAA PhD Fellowship Program

Minority students currently enrolled in a business or related doctoral program can apply for assistance through the National Black MBA Association's PhD Fellowship Program. As of the 2010-2011 academic school year, recipients could receive up to $10,000 from the program. During the selection process, a student's grade point average, community service and communication skills are considered. Recipients must agree to become a member of a local NBMBAA chapter and participate in public relations activities.
