Mexican honeymoons are popular for many American couples due to the close proximity of Mexico to the United States. Cancun is one of the most popular Mexican destination spots for honeymooners, and is located on the east side of the country. There is a large airport in Cancun, making it easy for travelers to access the city. Cancun is full of luxurious resorts and large beaches. Due to the high amount of tourist attractions in the area, there is plenty to do for honeymooners who don't want to stay at the resort all day. Located near Cancun, is the Riviera Maya. This area is about one hour south of Cancun and is more secluded than popular Cancun. For those who still want a taste of the beach honeymoon, Ibiza, Spain, has some of the most popular beaches in Europe for travelers to enjoy.
