The Department of Music and Arts Technology at Purdue University offers an undergraduate Bachelor of Science in Music Technology. The first two years of this four-year program focus on the theory of music, music history, aural training and keyboard skills. The program teaches digital music technology in dedicated music labs and facilities. Admission requirements include a high school diploma and tests of musicianship such as sight-reading and aural abilities. Students take 130 hours of coursework with a concentration in a field such as computer technology. The college also offers a Masters of Science in Music Technology.
