Youth Hostels for Families in Venice

Youth Hostels for Families in Venice thumbnail
Hostels are an inexpensive lodging option when visiting Venice, Italy.

Venice, Italy is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world, with visitors flocking to its famous canals, art museums, and historical architecture. Lodging can be expensive in the city, however, and during high tourist seasons, accommodations can be hard to come by. Hostels are one cheaper option for tourists who don't mind giving up some of the amenities of larger hotels. Many hostels cater not only to youths but to families as well.

  1. Alloggi Agli Artisti

    • Located just steps from the Grand Canal, Alloggi Agli Artisti offers rooms that cater to families, and includes such travel necessities as toothbrushes, toothpaste, bath paraphernalia and boots for high-water times.

    Residenza Santa Croce

    • Located directly in the center of Venice, Residenza Santa Croce has private rooms for families as well as mixed dormitory rooms. Each room has a private bathroom, television, and refrigerator. The hostel is located adjacent to the canal, which allows for water views and quick access to romantic canal trips.

    Dimora Serenissima

    • Dimora Serenissima is also located in the center of Venice. Private rooms and mixed dormitory rooms feature private bathrooms, ideal for families, color television and refrigerators. During high season, a free in-room breakfast is served. Dimora Serenissima also offers transportation to and from Marco Polo Airport in Venice.

    A Venice Fish

    • Featuring a large common room plus private rooms for families, A Venice Fish is another option for families looking to take advantage of hostels in Venice. Each room has free Internet access and free dinners every night.
