The Indianapolis Zoo

Wedding events can take place at the White River Garden, a large botanical garden in the Indianapolis Zoo. There are two locations where the wedding ceremony can take place, either inside the Hilbert Conservatory or in the outdoor Efromyson Wedding Garden. If the ceremony is in the garden, the reception can take place in the Hulman Riverhouse, the Party Pavilion or the Dolphin Adventure Gallery, while ceremonies in the conservatory have receptions in the Hulman Riverhouse only. Weddings here are catered by Centerplace Catering. Plated dinners include potato gnocchi, lobster ravioli, chicken parmesan, herb crusted porkloin and grilled filet mignon.

The Indianapolis Museum of Art is located on 152 acres of land and has a number of different spaces that can be rented out for special events and weddings. Some of these include the Formal Garden, with a fountain and trellised entrance, the Alliance Sculpture Garden, and Lily Terrace, which has a French chateau-style house as a backdrop. The museum provides a list of vendors and decorators they use often to make planning the event easier. Catering is offered either by Kahn's Catering or Nourish Café.
The Scottish Rite Cathedral
-
The Scottish Rite Cathedral is a historic building in downtown Indianapolis noted for its Tudor-Gothic architecture. It is available to be rented for weddings. Wedding ceremonies often take place in either the theater, which seats over 1,100 guests, or the South Lounge, more suitable for smaller ceremonies, though it still fits up to 200. Receptions can take place in any of the rentable rooms, which also include the ballroom and the banquet hall. Dressing rooms are available and rentals are for six hours, plus two hours for setting up the rooms. All the catering is done by Thomas Caterers of Distinction, which provides all-inclusive dinner and bar services.
