Simple Ways to Make My Girl Happy
There are many reasons to make your girlfriend happy, from trying to impress her in the early dating stages to getting yourself out of the doghouse, and every "just because" moment in between. Conveniently, there are just as many ways to make her happy as there are reasons, many of them requiring little or no money at all. As is the case with all well-meant gestures, it's the creativity and thought that counts.

The art of being a good listener bodes well for you in all relationships, and romantic ones are no exception. The key is to genuinely listen to what she is saying instead of thinking about what you are going to say next. You don't always have to have the perfect thing to say in response; much of the time, she may just want to vent. Always be there to lend an ear and let her know she can talk to you about anything she wishes.

While showing your girl some affection may seem a little obvious, much hinges on your timing. Random hugs, kisses and back rubs are great, especially when you don't have the intention of them leading to more. The element of surprise is essential. For example, if she's seated, caress her neck and give her a kiss on the cheek as you walk by, or take her hand as you cross a street together. Little gestures go a long way in expressing your feelings.

Conflict is inevitable in a relationship; the most important thing is how you handle it. It can be tough to let go of your pride, especially when emotions are running high during a disagreement. However, you will find that taking the high road and giving a little can serve you well. Once the dust settles, she will respect the fact that you put aside your frustration for the betterment of the relationship.

Even though your feelings for your girl may have long been established, there is no such thing as expressing your affection too much. Never assume that she already knows; even if she does, sweet affirmations are never a bad thing. The nature of the note should be simple; something to the effect of "thinking of you" will suffice. Make it extra charming by putting it in a location where she will find it when you're not around.
