Fun & Clean Bachelor Party Ideas

Make sure there's plenty of good food at your bachelor party.

Bachelor parties have a reputation for being centered around alcoholic beverages and questionable behavior, but not all grooms are interested in participating in a Bacchanalian feast so soon before taking their wedding vows. A clean bachelor party should focus more on bonding and having fun than other, less wholesome, activities. Use the groom's hobbies or favorite activities to inspire the theme for his party.

  1. The Sophisticated Party

    • A bachelor who enjoys the finer things in life would likely enjoy having all his party guests picked up in a stretch limousine and taken to one of the finest restaurants in town. Quality, and not quantity, is the key when keeping it clean. Order one bottle of fine champagne, not a dozen kamikaze shots, and cap off the evening with a visit to a cigar bar. A sailing excursion or round of golf and dinner with his guys at the clubhouse would also appeal to a more mature groom.

    The Adventurous Party

    • The man who still likes to play will have fun at a bachelor party designed to appeal to the young boy inside. A game of paintball, laser tag, a white water rafting trip or sky diving adventure will give the future groom plenty of thrills while still allowing plenty of time to bond with his buddies.

    The Outdoorsy Party

    • If you want to plan a weekend bachelor getaway, but a gambling trip isn't the groom's thing, you can take the guys outdoors for a fun weekend of camping, fishing, skiing, shooting or snowboarding. If it's in the budget, you can charter a fishing boat or arrange for a professional backcountry guide to take you and your party into the wilderness for a serious outdoor experience.

    The Stay-at-Home Party

    • You don't have to spend a lot of money or make complicated arrangements for a successful bachelor party. Poker at home with the boys, or an evening of horseshoes in the backyard are great ideas -- just be sure there's plenty of good food to eat and all the groom's closest friends are invited.

    The Sporty Party

    • A trip to a sports hall of fame, a day at fantasy ball camp or tickets to a live game are all fun ways to celebrate with the groom. You and your gang can charter a bus to take you to the sports arena, leaving you free to enjoy some snacks and some lively conversation about your favorite teams during the ride.
