Playskool Kids Games
Playskool, a subsidiary of Hasbro, is well known for the children's educational games and toys it produces. These toys and games not only serve to entertain kids but also strive to teach children at the same time. The company was founded in the 1920's by Lucille King, who enjoyed creating toys that could be used in a classroom. Teachers today can use Playskool games with the kids in their classes.

Playskool's game "My First Barrel of Monkeys" is generally a one-player game for kids aged 18 months and up. The barrel contains 10 monkeys that each contain a number from 1 to 10. Each monkey also has a color surrounding the number. Kids can count the numbers out and hook the monkeys together in order, or they can shout out the colors and hook the monkeys together by color. Children can also practice cleaning up by placing the monkeys back in the barrel when they are finished.
Hungry Hungry Hippos

Children over the age of three can play Playskool's game "Hungry Hungry Hippos." The game comes with four different colored hippos that must gobble up as many of the 20 marbles that are supplied with the game as possible. Each child must push the lever down on his hippo to open the hippo's mouth; the quicker the child presses on the lever, the higher the chance that he will gobble up the most marbles. Children must count their marbles after they have all been eaten, and the child with the most marbles wins.

Ants in the Pants

"Ants in the Pants" is a Playskool game that requires coordination. Kids ages three and up choose a set of ants by color. When someone says "go," the kids press down on the ant's behind with one finger and then release it. The ant will go flying; the kids can adjust their technique if the ants fly too far or not far enough. The object is to get all of your ants in the pants. The child that gets all of their colored ants in the pants first is the winner.
Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Letters and Numbers Game

Preschool and kindergarten age children can practice memory skills as well as letter and number recognition with Playskool's "Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Letters and Numbers Game." Two to four children can play this game at a time; each child chooses a game board that has numbers on one side and letters on the other. First, the kids match the numbers until their game boards are full. Then they flip the game boards over to spell out the name of one of the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse characters. The first child to finish their game board wins.
