Temecula, California has numerous birthday celebration options for kids.

Temecula is a city in southwest Riverside County, California with a population of about 105,000 people. Although entertainment options in the city are limited in comparison to other, larger regional cities like Anaheim, San Diego and Los Angeles, there are still numerous options around town where kids can be entertained while celebrating a birthday. Does this Spark an idea?

  1. Children's Museum

    • Located in the heart of Old Town Temecula is the city's children's museum. The museum is overseen by the manager/mascot known as Prof. Phineas T. Pennypickle Ph.D, who's billed as an inventor, scientist and time traveler. The museum can accommodate children's birthday parties and four different packages are available, with the cost and time limit for each depending on the number of attendees. (See Reference 3)

    Pool Party

    • For kids who like to swim, the city has two public pools that offer recreational swimming for all ages during the spring and summer months, and can accommodate groups of kids for events like birthday gatherings. Rules require at least one adult for every six kids entering the pool and proof of Temecula residency must be provided.

    Skate Park Party

    • For kids who are skating enthusiasts, the Temecula Skate Park is an option for birthday get-togethers. The park, which is open seven days a week, is open to skateboarders and inline skaters age five and older, but anyone under 18 has to sign a waiver form and pay a $1 fee as of 2011. The park consists of a bowl with a 60-foot diameter, plus a 10-foot wide apron, which connects the bowl to a street plaza skate area.

    Movies

    • For young kids, a trip to the movies with a few close friends is a good way to celebrate a birthday. Temecula is home to three movie theaters: the Ultrastar, which has 10 screens; the Edwards Temecula, a 15-screen theater with stadium seating; and the nine-screen Temeku Discount Cinemas. Each shows G and PG-rated kid-friendly movies; Ultrastar and Edwards show first-run films, while Temeku typically screens films that have already been out for at least a few weeks.
