Pin the Flag
-
Plan a party game for a boat-loving preschool boy. Prepare for a sailboat twist on the classic game, "Pin the Tail on the Donkey," before the party begins. At art-time, give each preschooler a 12-inch long construction paper triangle flag to decorate. Provide markers and birthday-themed stickers. Before the party day, make a poster-size picture of a sailboat and tape it to a wall of the classroom. Tape it close to the floor, so little preschooler's can reach the top of the sailboat. To play the game, each child takes a turn wearing a blindfold and attempts to hang his flag at the top of the sail boat's sail. The child who hangs his flag closest to the top wins the game.
Snake in a Boot
-
Aspiring little cowboys and cowgirls can enjoy a boy's preschool birthday party game that features plastic snakes and a real cowboy boot. Line up preschoolers a few feet from an adult-sized cowboy boot. Give each child three small plastic snakes, available in bags where children's toys are sold. Let each child have a turn pitching snakes at the boot, trying to get them to land inside. If the player gets a snake in the boot, she wins the snake to take home as a party favor.

Balloon Relay
-
Little boys and girls will enjoy a balloon party game. Divide the class into two teams, standing in rows on a rug. Provide a balloon for each team. Let the birthday boy choose his team's balloon. Show the players how to hold a balloon with elbows instead of hands. Pass the balloon to an adult birthday party helper's elbows, to demonstrate. Tell your class that they must pass the balloon all the way through the line and back, using just elbows. Play the birthday boy's favorite song as the children pass the balloons. The first team to complete the relay wins.
Obstacle Course
-
Set up a birthday obstacle course in your classroom with the birthday boy's favorite things in mind. Before the party, brainstorm with the little boy's parents about the things he likes best. Drape sheets in his favorite color over tables as tunnels. Place four or five of his favorite stuffed animals in a zig-zag pattern for children to walk around, weaving in and out. Provide a path of books the birthday boy likes, for the children to hop over. Place a ball, used in the birthday boy's favorite sport, near a box at the end of the course. Tell players they must throw the ball into the box to complete the obstacle course. Let each child go through the course alone, with his classmates cheering him on.
