Cupcakes are a fun option for baby shower cakes, especially since they are versatile and can be arranged and decorated a number of ways for great presentation.

Baby rattle cupcakes are a fun and easy design; decorate the cupcakes with pastel-colored frosting and then stick a paper lollipop stick into the side of each cupcake to serve as a rattle handle. A soft candy can be stuck onto the end of the stick to finish the look.

If the parents-to-be don't yet know the sex of the baby, consider frosting half of the cupcakes with blue frosting and the other half with pink. Pipe a question mark onto each cupcake and allow guests to make a prediction about the baby's sex when they choose their cupcakes.
