Wedding Centerpiece Ideas With Candles
A centerpiece sets the tone for your wedding reception as it brings all the elements of your design together. One wedding centerpiece type includes the use of candles. Candles not only illuminate the table, but also cast a soft light into the shadows. As you design your display to the desired theme, consider your choice of a candle container and the color choice of the candle.

Elegant
-
A silver candelabra creates an elegant centerpiece display for a wedding. Select a candelabra with a large center for a small flower arrangement, such as a cascading one of lily of the valley or sweet pea, and surround it with moss. Add slender tapered candles of red or white in the surrounding holders, with sprigs of greenery sprinkled around the base of the candelabra. Place the arrangement on a circular framed mirror to catch the candle glow.
Graphic
-
A black and white combination gives a graphic centerpiece arrangement. Create a band of a black and white checkerboard just below the rim of a clear hurricane glass filled with black river rock. Nestle one white pillar candle into the rocks. Surround the hurricane glass with small black votive holders filled with white tea light candles. Arrange black river rock on the table display and add checkered picture frames containing black and white photographs of the couple.

Romantic
-
Bring a softly romantic design to your table with a re-purposed fish bowl centerpiece. In a large fishbowl, add layers of white and pink cut glass beads about halfway to the top. Submerge the heads of pink and white roses into the cut beads while you add floating pink heart candles to the top. Float several white petals along the top of the water and drip them along the sides and base of the fishbowl. A large pink ribbon bow rests along the base of the display.
Art Deco
-
An art deco look may be acquired with a silver and black step design. Place three books of decreasing size in the center of the table and create steps as you cover them with a black satin table linen. A silver, spray-painted tree branch lies flat on the top of the elevated display with black votive candles interspersed between the branches and on the steps leading to the table. Place silver tea lights in top votives, while silver tapered candles fill the step holders. Drape crystal strands through and over the tree branch and on the steps.
