Wedding Ideas Using the Gerbera Daisy
Gerbera daisies are featured in many weddings. These flowers are available year-round and available in every shade, from bright white to deep red. According to The Knot, nearly 350 shades of Gerberas are grown throughout the world, so you can find Gerbera daisies to fit with any wedding scheme and color palette.

Bouquet
-
Gerbera daises are sturdy flowers, so bouquets of these flowers should look picture-perfect all throughout the day without wilting. Tie a bunch of daises together with a silk ribbon to create a simple bouquet. Leave the stems long to add a pop of bright green to your wedding day look. Since Gerbera daisies are available in so many shades, give each bridesmaid a bouquet made of a different color flower. Wrap each with the same color ribbon to tie the looks together. To make your bouquet more elaborate, mix shades together.
Flower Balls
-
Making a ball covered in Gerbera daisies is a time-consuming task, but the results are worth the effort. Start with a polystyrene foam ball any size you like. Buy flower-preserving solution from a garden store to seal in each flower's moisture and extend its life. Cut 20-gauge wire into 4-inch long pieces, then fold each piece in half like a bobby pin. Fill a bowl with a half-water-and-half-preserving-solution mixture, then cut each stem off the daisy and submerge the flower in the solution. Let the flowers dry, then stick one wire pin through the center of a flower and into the ball. Continue until the entire ball is covered. Use balls as centerpieces; hang them from the ceiling or float them in a pool.

Place Settings
-
Dress up neutral place settings with bright Gerbera daisies. Place a bud vase with a single flower at each seat. Choose two shades of daises and alternate colors for added visual interest. If you're using these same flowers in the table centerpieces, use them sparingly at the place settings. Place one bloom at the center of each guest's folded napkin. Since the bloom of the daisy is flat, it will stay put without curling or falling over.
Accents
-
Since Gerbera daisies are so bright, a few of them scattered around the room is enough to make a big statement. Ask the waitstaff to arrange the daisies around the edges of the serving platters. Create a ring of Gerbera daises around the base of the wedding cake to brighten up a white cake. Pull the flower heads off the stems, then string them onto pieces of unscented dental floss. Hang garlands from the ceiling or across doorways.
