Mt. Rainier Area Hotels
Mount Rainier, just outside Ashford, Washington, is a mountain in the Cascade range, with the Mount Rainier National Park covering over 235,000 acres of land. The mountain peak is more than 14,000 feet up, stretching taller than any of the surrounding mountains. It is so high that a portion of the mountain is constantly covered with snow and ice. Visitors can find several hotels both inside the park and just outside.

The National Park Inn is open all year long and is within Mount Rainier National Park. Visitors can find a view of the mountain range, including Mount Rainier, just outside the hotel's front door, as well as forest and meadow land. The hotel features a gift shop housed in a cabin that dates back to 1911. A full-service restaurant is also within the hotel. Visitors can enjoy hiking in the warmer months and snowshoeing and cross-country skiing in the winter. The hotel offers snowshoe and ski rentals.
Paradise Inn

Open from the middle of May until the beginning of October, Paradise Inn is within Mount Rainier National Park. The hotel features the Paradise Inn Dining Room, Tatoosh Cafe and a gift shop, featuring Native American arts and crafts. Visitors can enjoy the trails in the area, hiking among the trees with an excellent view of Mount Rainier and the surrounding mountains. This hotel offers a rustic experience to visitors, with no telephones or televisions in the rooms.

Alexander's Country Inn and Restaurant

About one mile away from the entrance to Mount Rainier National Park is Alexander's Country Inn and Restaurant. The hotel also features a day spa. A hot tub is available to guests, as well as a gift shop. Visitors can also find a hiking trail starting at the hotel, leading to Gifford Pinchot National Forest. Guests can also rent snowshoes. Alexander's Restaurant is a part of the hotel, offering guests and other visitors local Pacific Northwest foods.
Alta Crystal Resort

Located just outside Mount Rainier National Park, Alta Crystal Resort features a heated outdoor pool that is open all year, a hot tub and a 1920s game room. The hotel also offers evening activities throughout the year. Winter activities include movie nights and bonfires, while summer activities include barbecues and bingo. Visitors can also take advantage of the in-room dining. Several trails lead away from the resort where visitors can hike and bike in the summer and snowshoe in the winter. Snowshoe rental is available.
