Ideas for Wedding Table Arrangements
Choosing the appropriate centerpiece arrangements for your wedding reception can transform a plain-looking hall or tent and no-frill rented linens into a charming and personal setting that reflects your taste and style. Whether you like to make things yourself, or prefer a no-hassle approach by purchasing arrangements, there are a number simple yet tasteful ways to decorate your tables.
-
Birch
-
Use birch for nature-inspired arrangements. Whether you're a "swinger of birches" like Frost, or simply a lover of nature-inspired decorations, birch is an inexpensive and usually readily available material that's charming when used for centerpiece displays. Smaller boughs can be cut into 4-inch blocks and hollowed out for candles, or larger trunk pieces can be cut into 2-3 inch slabs to be used as pedestals for candles or flowers, or drilled with smaller holes and used for votives. If yours is a daytime wedding, and you don't plan to use candles, a 4-inch or taller hollowed birch block can also be filled with a small vase and used for flower arrangements.
Mason Jars
-
Mason jars are perfect for holding flowers. Ideal for a rustic or country-set wedding, the inexpensive yet timeless and attractive mason jar comes in various sizes and is a perfect vessel in which to place candles or bouquets of flowers. Clustering two or three jars of different sizes and placing flowers or candles in each is another possibility if you desire a fuller arrangement. While the jars with metal handles are especially pretty, all Mason jars make elegance simple, and also provide an easy way for guests to take home flower arrangements.

Floated Flowers
-
Floated flowers are pretty, with so little fuss. No matter what your theme or budget, using floating flower blossoms in glass bowls is an incredible easy and simple way to decorate your tables. Whether you like roses or peonies, lilies, daisies or lilacs, floating their blossoms rather than using an upright vase arrangement is a creative and less traditional approach. Furthermore, you can tailor the size of the bowl and number of flowers to suit your specific tables, and can even put multiple bowls on each table without having to spend a fortune on flowers.
Candles and Glass
-
Shed some light with candles and glass. Sometimes, less really is more, and this can certainly be true of wedding centerpiece arrangements. If you have a night or afternoon wedding or simply don't want to deal with the fuss of flowers or multiple components to your table decorations, a lovely glass hurricane vase paired with your favorite white, scented or tinted candles can help create a romantic and intimate environment without having to construct something elaborate. The hurricane vase will shelter the flame, so you don't have to worry about candles going out or catching something on fire.
