Christian Topics for Teen Girls
Being a teenage girl in today's world can be difficult enough. Trying to live up to biblical principles in today's world can be even more of a challenge. A teen Bible study for girls is the perfect opportunity to address issues that affect teens, such as dating, establishing your own identity, relationships with parents, self-esteem, peer pressure and how to make decisions based on God's word.

Dating and relationships
-
Dating is an important topic to discuss from a biblical perspective. If you are conducting a Bible study with teen girls, allow them to talk about their hopes and expectations regarding dating. Discuss the difference between dating and courtship. Encourage the girls to get to know boys they like on group dates, having them over to dinner with their family, or participating in sports events together. Point out verses from the Bible that mention that sex before marriage is not acceptable. One of the best ways to ensure sexual purity is to never be alone with a boy in a private setting. Emphasize that God mentions in the Bible that they are to marry other Christians so they should only date boys who share their faith if they are going to date.
Honor thy father and thy mother
-
One of the 10 commandments in Exodus 20:12 that God gives us is to honor your parents. This comes with a promise that if you do respect your parents, then it will go well with you and you will live a long life. The only time you do not have to honor a parent is if they want you to act in ways that are not pleasing to God. Explain to teen girls that if a parent is abusing them in any way, they need to tell a trusted authority figure or contact a children's services center.
-
Peer pressure
-
Peer pressure is important to talk about with Christian teen girls because even girls strong in their faith may be easily swayed if they start hanging out with the wrong crowd and finding themselves making poor decisions. 2 Corinthians 6:14 asks, "What fellowship can light have with darkness?" Encourage teen girls to surround themselves with other female friends who are Christians who can be supportive and uplifting and so they can pray for each other when needed.
Daily devotions and prayer
-
It is important to teach teenage Christian girls how to remain true to their beliefs regardless of temptations and confusion that may be part of maturing into a young adult. Encourage teen girls to have a time set aside every day for daily devotions. That means reading from the Bible and memorizing verses that are particularly meaningful and helpful to them. It means retraining their thinking so that it lines up with what the Bible says about any given topic. Teach them how to pray so that it is not just about asking God for things, but also about waiting for answers, basking in His presence, praising and worshiping Him, and thanking Him daily. Encourage teens to attend a church service every Sunday and to join a Christian youth group in their community or a Christian club at their school that offers the opportunity for them to develop friendships with other Christian teens.
