A Las Vegas wedding can be anything you want it to be.

Las Vegas has long been known for easy and quick weddings. Some couples choose to elope to the city for a private wedding, while others bring friends and family along for the celebration. When most people think about a Las Vegas wedding, they might think of a quick themed wedding in a cheesy chapel. However, Las Vegas has many different wedding options for couples.

  1. Vegas Chapels

    • The most well-known of the Vegas weddings is in one of the wedding chapels. Couples can choose one from about 50 different chapels. These chapels offer various different packages from a simple ceremony to an elaborate themed affair. Some of the chapels even offer drive-through weddings. Many of the chapels offer their weddings inside, while some, even along the Strip, offer beautiful gardens outside in which couples can exchange their vows.

    Civil Ceremony

    • For those who do not want a more elaborate ceremony in a chapel or who are looking to spend as little as possible, a wedding at the Clark County Marriage Bureau is your best option. As of 2011, the marriage license will cost a couple $55. A civil ceremony costs an additional $50. Some of the other Las Vegas venues require a civil ceremony to be completed before they perform the religious ceremony in the chapel. Check with your venue of choice to ensure the proper steps are taken.

    Resorts

    • Many of the resorts in Las Vegas offer wedding packages for their guests. Some of them even offer multiple chapel options for couples to choose from. In addition to the actual ceremony package, which can include flowers, music and pictures, many of the casino wedding packages include a night in one of the hotel's honeymoon suites. Dining options can also be added to many of the casino wedding packages. These weddings are the best option for those seeking a more elaborate wedding.

    Alternative Weddings

    • Las Vegas is a good place to find weddings that aren't typically found in other places. The Little White Chapel offers a wedding package to couples that puts the couple on a one-hour hot air balloon ride over the Grand Canyon. The Little Chapel of the Flowers also offers flying weddings over the Grand Canyon using helicopters and airplanes.

At the MGM Grand, a couple can marry while riding a roller coaster, while couples at Treasure Island can have a pirate-themed wedding. Several chapels also offer packages that take you to the Grand Canyon to be married while standing at the edge of the canyon.
