Most pirate games let you control and sail a pirate ship.

Pirate games allow players to venture into the lives of pirates, stealing treasure, engaging in sword fights and sailing across the seas of the world. Pirate games are readily available in all platforms, from PC to PS3. Role-playing, action and strategy enthusiasts can find pirate games suited to their preferences.

  1. "Sid Meier's Pirates!"

    • "Sid Meier's Pirates!" places you in the role of a pirate whose family has been kidnapped by a Spanish nobleman. You must travel across the seas in order to capture treasure and fight villains in a strategy/RPG game. You will engage in ship battles, firing cannonballs at enemy ships to destroy and loot them. You will also clash in sword fights, dig up buried treasure and venture into towns and cities. "Sid Meier's Pirates!" provides simplicity and depth, allowing you to enjoy several hours of play.

    "Sea Dogs"

    • "Sea Dogs" puts you into the role of Nicolas, a pirate whose goal is to become renowned for his deeds. You can choose among three factions to join: English, French or Spanish. Each provides a different story line and adventure. As Nicolas, you'll run errands across islands to deliver goods, command ships and allocate skill points. As a pirate, you will want to spend skill points to increase your commerce, ship boarding, shooting and repairing abilities.

    "One Piece: Unlimited Adventure"

    • You have just crashed landed on a mysterious island and found a mysterious crystal that provides the key to a mysterious treasure and to your freedom. In "One Piece: Unlimited Adventure," you control one of eight characters from the "One Piece" television series, allowing you to level up skills and unlock moves. As you command a character, you are given unique abilities to use, such as Usopp's slingshot ability or Zoro's flurry of swords. You will fight throughout the island looking for treasure and a way back home. Like most RPGs, you will spend most of your time leveling up and gaining new abilities to beat bosses and enemies.

    "Pirates of the Caribbean"

    • Inspired by "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" and "Pirates of the Caribbean: At World's End," users are immersed into the world of Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean." You will control Jack Sparrow, following the events of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest" for the first half of the game. In the second half, you will follow the storyline of "At World's End." The game is a standard action game where you will mash buttons together to create combo moves while following the dialogue, storyline and locations of "Pirates of the Caribbean."
