Imaginative Ways to Announce That You Are Pregnant
When you discover that you're pregnant, you may savor the news privately for a little while but eventually, you'll probably want to share this important news with your friends and family. However, you do not have to plainly tell them that you are expecting a baby; instead, you can use some creative methods to share the joyous news.
-
Ultrasound and Vision
-
When you take home your ultrasound picture, make copies of this precious memento. Frame and wrap the reprints. Give the wrapped pictures and wait to see the surprise on the recipients' faces. This method of revealing a pregnancy would work particularly well during the Christmas season or during a birthday celebration. Or, if you wish to announce the news specifically to the grandparents-to-be, this gift would also work well on Grandparent's Day.
A Special Dinner
-
If you wish to tell your spouse or other family members about the pregnancy, then plan a special "baby" meal. Serve baby carrots or baby peas with milk to drink. At the end of the meal, bring out a jarred baby-food dessert such as mashed peach cobbler. Your spouse or the guests might pick up on the theme of the night, but if not, hand out baby wipes to everyone so they can clean up and fully understand your important news.
-
Night At The Movies
-
If your husband is a movie fan, you can share the news with him during a stay-at-home night at the movies. Rent flicks that feature babies and pregnancy such as "Nine Months" or "Knocked Up." You can rent three or four different pregnancy-themed shows, and your spouse can choose which one to watch. To add to the fun, record your own home movie announcing the news and show that video after the other movie is finished.
Talking T-Shirt s
-
If you already have a child, purchase or make a shirt for him that says, "I'm going to be a big brother!" His shirt can announce the news for you. Or, if you want to be the one wearing the shirt, then buy or make a shirt that tells your due date.
