If you need a little help, use a comb to gently pick the remaining gum out of the hair.

Oils are another home product that works to get the gum out of hair. Olive oil, baby oil, canola oil, vegetable oil and even cooking spray will do the trick. Using a fine-toothed comb, remove the gum from your hair.
Baking Soda
-
Baking soda also can be used to properly remove gum from the hair. Pour a few tablespoons of the baking soda into a bowl. Add a few drops of water to the bowl; you'll want just enough water to form a paste. Coat the gum and hair strands in the paste, and wait a few minutes for the baking soda paste to dry slightly.
