Foreign language courses help young students develop good study habits as they learn to discipline the mind. Many school districts do not offer foreign-language programs in their elementary schools. You will have access to free posters, worksheets and activity sheets on topics such as numbers and colors, telling time, animal riddles, seasons and weather. More advanced worksheets focus on conversational Spanish, verb conjugation, other parts of speech and Spanish composition. Many of these sites simply require you to click and print the item that you would like to use. You can even elect to save the PDF file.

Websites like Spanish Town and ¡Oye!, offer free interactivity games and activities for the elementary student. The activities are often divided by grade level and cover categories appropriate to each particular age group. Spanish Town's first-grade categories include Spanish questions and commands, numbers, seasons, days of the week and months of the year. Many of the exercises also include audio. Many of ¡Oye!'s online activities feature a full screen, interactive whiteboard to help bring the lessons to life.

Many of the websites featuring free elementary Spanish activities provide bright, bold colors and lots of fun for young language learners. Songs and musical activities help youngsters learn Spanish while enjoying the sounds of traditional Spanish tunes and instruments. The 1, 2, 3 Teach Me website features click and say options with clear audio. These types of sites also offer children's videos and stories.
Activities for Experienced Learners

Free online Spanish websites are not just for elementary students who are new to language learning. Many sites also offer activities that are suitable for the more advanced. Try intermediate-level activities with students who have had previous experience with Spanish. The Online Free Spanish website offers audio dialogues that cover topics that include introducing yourself, asking about the weather, and describing yourself. Both English and Spanish subtitles appear at the bottom of each dialogue screen.
