Destination weddings are a popular choice by couples today. Resorts in the Bahamas cater to couples who are looking for all-inclusive packages. In order to be married in the Bahamas, the bride and groom must both apply in person for a marriage license. You will be required to sign a decree in front of a notary certifying that you are not married to anyone else and that you are a citizen of the United States. You will also be required to show your passport. The license fee is $100, as of February 2011, but is generally included in your wedding package. These resorts are all easily accessible from the United States by flying to Nassau, Bahamas.
