Halloween Candelabra Crafts
If you're looking for a creepy Halloween centerpiece or decoration for anywhere around the house, dressing up a basic candelabra is a simple and inexpensive solution. For candelabras you plan to use on other occasions, you can create a temporary Halloween look with a few basic supplies. Alternatively, if you have an old candelabra or purchase one inexpensively at a thrift or discount store, you can add paint and glitter for a permanent Halloween look. Does this Spark an idea?

Spiderweb Candelabra
-
The simplest way to add a Halloween touch to a basic candelabra is to add a spider web. Drape fake spider web all over the arms of the candelabra and extend the ends onto the surface you're setting it on. Arrange plastic spiders and other bugs throughout the web, along with a handful of fall leaves. As an alternative to fake spider webs, you can drape a piece of cheese cloth on the candelabra in the same way for a more antique look. Add Halloween-colored candles in orange and black or opt for basic off-white for an aged look.
Gothic Glam Candelabra
-
For a more sophisticated Halloween look, create a Gothic glam candelabra. Spray paint the candelabra matte or shiny black and let it dry. Place dots of clear craft glue every few inches along the candelabra's arms and base and sprinkle black glitter over them. Finally, drape a long strand of plastic black beads into swags on each of the candelabra arms and use black twist-ties or floral wire to hold them in place. Use pure white candles to add contrast and complete the sophisticated Goth look.

Creepy Candelabra
-
For a unique twist on the traditional candelabra, consider replacing the candles with Halloween-themed doll heads. Begin by spray-painting your candelabra black. Purchase small rubber doll heads at a craft store and paint the heads a sickly gray color. Add red paint to the eyes for a devilish look. Place one doll head in each candle holder, securing them with black duct tape if necessary. Drape a strand of orange fairy lights around the arms and base of the candelabra and cover the entire thing in fake spider web.
Bloody Candelabra
-
For a frightening look that won't damage or alter your candelabra, create bloody candles. Fill a cup or pail with sand or kitty litter and place a basic, white tapered candle inside. Light a red candle and carefully hold it over the white candle, letting the red wax drip onto the white candle like blood. Repeat with enough white candles to fill your candelabra. As the candles burn, the red wax will continue to drip like blood for a gory Halloween look.
