Ohio Prep Schools
Preparatory, or prep, schools are private institutions that, as their names indicate, are specifically designed to prepare their pupils for higher learning. Preparatory schools are particularly common in the United States. In general, prep schools serve the high school level, but elementary and middle school forms also exist. The state of Ohio offers a variety of prep school choices.

Village Prep

Village Preparatory School, popularly referred to as Village Prep, is in Cleveland. Village Prep focuses on providing academics in an atmosphere that is disciplined, safe and technologically advanced. Founded in August 2009, the school educates students from kindergarten to the fifth grade. Village Prep uses a variety of teaching techniques in their academic curricula, including "reading mastery," repeated reading, robust vocabulary, text talk, glass analysis and word-building.
St. Charles Preparatory School

St. Charles Preparatory School is a Catholic school located in Columbus. St. Charles Preparatory School has been in existence since 1923, and provides education from the ninth to the twelfth grades. The goal of the school is to get its student body ready for advanced study, and to help them grow into individuals that are well-rounded and productive. Some of the diverse courses that are available at the school include German, Latin, journalism, statistics, economics and graphic art.

Saint Ignatius High School is in Cleveland, Ohio. The Jesuit men's school aims to get young men ready for life by providing academic challenges and encouraging lifelong learning. Saint Ignatius High School was opened in the fall of 1886. The high school's numerous academic departments include mathematics, world languages, history, fine arts, English, theology and health.
Harvest Preparatory School

Harvest Preparatory School is situated in the village of Canal Winchester, in the central region of Ohio. Harvest Preparatory School offers a Christ-based curriculum and has been in existence since 1986. The school's goal is to support students and encourage them to become citizens who create positive social changes. The school offers a large selection of extracurricular activities and sports, such as Student Senate, the National Honor Society, fast-pitch softball, basketball, cheerleading and volleyball.
