Christmas Gifts for Grandparents Who Don't Want Anything
Anyone who has children has probably been there -- it's almost Christmas and the grandparents are insisting they want nothing this year. Your children, though, are anxious to give Grandma and Grandpa the perfect gift, so you wrack your brain for ideas. The perfect gift, however, may not be waiting at your local department store. More likely, the source of their gift is right in your own home.

Photo Calendar
-
Most grandparents love having pictures of their grandchildren. Take this idea to the next level by providing your parents or in-laws with a more practical gift -- a photo calendar. Many websites now offer custom made calendars. Once you upload your photos, you take control by choosing backgrounds, photo placement and even the holidays and birthdays that you would like to mark. After you finish customizing your calendar, it is printed and shipped to you. You may also choose to have it shipped directly to the grandparents. Photo calendars are a fun, easy gift that grandparents can enjoy all year.
Frozen Meals
-
Freezer meals as a Christmas gift may sound odd. However, it can make a great gift for grandparents, especially those who live alone. Get your children involved by thinking of meals that Grandma and Grandpa enjoy. Maybe there is a special food that you cook that they love. Soups freeze well and are great for those cold winter nights. Allow the kids to help cook and then divide your meal into small portions. Freeze in freezer-safe containers. Make a cake or cookies and freeze them in small portions as well. Grandparents then have a ready made supply of dinners they can enjoy throughout the next few months. Each time they eat their meal they will be reminded that someone loves them.

Kid Art Notepad
-
Employ your local copy shop and turn your child's artwork into a gift that grandparents can enjoy. Have your child draw simple designs using a pen or fine tip black marker. Choose a few of these pictures and take them to your local copy shop. Have one or more of the pictures printed onto pages in a notepad, on note cards or even on sticky notes. You may also add a magnetic strip to the back so the notepad can be displayed on the proud grandparent's refrigerator.
Photo Family Tree
-
Grandparents love their families. Give them a gift that reminds them of their family tree every time they see it. Purchase a photo frame with one large center opening and many smaller openings around it. Place a picture of the grandparents in the center opening. You can choose a recent photo or an older photo, whichever means the most to them. In each of the openings around the frame, put photos of all their children, children's spouses and grandchildren. These can be family photos or candid shots of individuals. Whatever you choose, grandparents are sure to beam with joy when they see their photo family tree.
