Charity Fundraising Adventure Activities
A great way to raise money for your chosen charity is to volunteer to take part in a sponsored adventurous activity, such as an extreme sport or a demanding physical challenge. An adventurous fundraiser can also attract interest and raise the profile of the charity. Once you've decided on an activity, you can contact your chosen charity to order the required sponsorship forms, so you can begin to collect sponsorship money.

Marathon Swim
-
Arrange a marathon swim for charity. Hold this activity at a beach where it's safe to swim, or at your local swimming pool. One benefit of swimming is that it's possible for a large number of people to join in to raise money for charity. You can also invite friends and colleagues who sponsor you to come and cheer you on. Remember to avoid swimming out of your depth, if you're not a strong swimmer, and stay in an area where you can comfortably touch the ground.
Treks
-
Challenge yourself by walking, or trekking, for charity. One benefit of trekking is that it can be carried out in large groups, which means you can raise more money for charity if each person gathers sponsors. Famous areas for trekking include the Himalayas, Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania, the Swiss Alps, the Sahara Desert in Africa and Machu Picchu in Peru. If you want to arrange an easier walk, you can make up your own route in your local area, but remember to challenge yourself, in order to inspire people to sponsor you.

Firewalking
-
If walking long distances is not for you, you can always try a few meters of firewalking. For this activity, each participant will walk over hot coals. Better Fundraising Ideas states on its website that firewalking is a safe and enjoyable activity when carried out under expert supervision, and there are a number of professional organizations that can arrange firewalking for you.
Cycle Challenges
-
Arranging to cycle a long distance can be an adventurous activity, which will also help you to raise money for your charity. This can be carried out in large groups, which can lead to more publicity and more sponsorships. A cycling challenge can be arranged to take place anywhere, and you can make it a physically challenging activity by aiming to cover a long distance.
