Wedding Bouquet Ideas With Calla Lilies
Calla lilies are an exotic flower found in southern Africa. These flowers are often used in wedding bouquets and flower arrangements. Calla lilies come in a variety of shades and colors, and are a strong and durable flower. Miniature calla lilies are 10 to 12 inches long, while full-length calla lilies are up to 3 feet tall. You can carry the lilies by themselves or pair them with other flowers for your bouquet.

Mini Calla Lilies
-
Mini calla lilies are cut about 10 to 12 inches in length, and the traditional calla lily is white or ivory. For a simple but elegant bouquet, take eight to 12 lilies and use florist's tape to tape them into a tight circle. After taping the flowers, you can cover the tape with sheer white ribbon or your wedding/bridesmaid's dress color. You might also order calla lilies in your wedding colors, or use two or three shades of one color to make your bouquet. For your bridesmaids, create similar bouquets with three to five calla lilies.
Seasonal Bouquets
-
For a winter wedding, consider dark purple calla lilies, or mix the dark purple with dark pink mini lilies. For a summer wedding, take two shades of yellow calla lilies and bundle them with a gold lily in the center. For spring, alternate white mini calla lilies with purple and cherry to make a striking bouquet. For a fall wedding, you can tie bright orange calla lilies together with raffia.

Mixing Calla Lilies With Other Flowers
-
Dark yellow lilies and orange roses tied together with ribbon will make a festive bouquet, as would mixing mango-colored calla lilies, green cymbidiums and two-toned roses, like dark orange and red. You might also mingle white calla lilies and grape hyacinth; place the hyacinth around the lilies, so that the lilies are in the center of the bouquet.
Mixing in Greenery
-
Take light purple calla lilies and lavender-colored roses and wrap them together with some ivy that can elegantly drape down. Similarly, you might start with white calla lilies and white roses, and place long blades of grass and leafy stems throughout the bouquet. Pull the ends of the blades of grass over and tuck them back into the bouquet to make arches appear.
Full-Length Calla Lilies
-
Full-length calla lilies come in white and ivory and are up to 3 feet in length. Arrange them by taking five to eight flowers and cutting the stems at slightly varying lengths. Arrange the flowers like an arrow, so that the stems come to a point. Then, take a ribbon, either white or your bridal party color, and tie the flowers together.
