Creative Gift Ideas for Your First Boyfriend's Birthday

When you're in a relationship, you want to make sure the birthday gift you buy stands out. If the gift is for your first boyfriend, you want to make sure it not only stands out, but that it represents something special to the two of you. You don't have to spend lots of money to make a big impression.

Sporting Event

Provided your boyfriend is a sports fan, buy him a pair of tickets to attend a home game. He'll enjoy being able to watch the team live and you'll get to spend some time together doing something he likes. If professional sports tickets are out of your price range, buy him his favorite team's hat and tickets to a minor league or high school sporting event.

Dinner Date

If he has a favorite kind of food, look into buying a gift certificate to a restaurant that specializes in that food. Or, better yet, make a reservation for a night you know he's free, and without telling him where you're going, make a date out of it. If you're ambitious, buy some fresh ingredients and prepare the meal yourself, serving a few courses of his favourite foods.

Movies

Put together a package of some of his favorite movies. If you don't know what they are, put together a mix of funny movies, action movies, and one or two of your favorites. Give the package to him with the promise of a movie date night for each movie. Include some movie snacks like packages of candy and bags of popcorn that you can use at each viewing.

Clothing

If he has a particular style or favorite store, pick out an outfit not only that you like, but one that you're sure he'd like as well. If you'd rather let him pick out the outfit, just pick up a gift certificate to one of his favorite clothing stores and volunteer to help him with his shopping.

First Date Package

If you went to a movie for a first date, pick up some movie passes to a new movie, as well as a gift certificate for the concession stand. If you had a coffee date, pick up a package of his favorite kind of coffee and buy him a travel mug. If you spent your first date doing a physical activity, buy him a new set of workout clothes.
