Great Gifts for Brothers

Show your brother that you appreciate him with a special gift.

There's no bond quite like the one you have with your brother. Whether he has always protected you or he has just been there as a friend, you can thank him with a thoughtful gift on his birthday, graduation, Christmas or any other holiday. To find the perfect gift, take into consideration his personality and interests.

  1. Gadgets

    • If your brother loves technology and always has to have the latest gadget on the market, there are endless options to choose from. Consider getting him the latest tablet, smart phone, laptop, netbook, e-book readers, camera, camcorder, webcam or gaming consoles. If he's more into gadgets for his car, look into GPS systems, sound systems or Bluetooth car kits. And for those who are good in the kitchen, get a state-of-the-art espresso machine, digital barbeque tongs or a pancake factory.

    Athletic Gear

    • For brothers who love personal fitness and playing sports, you can't go wrong with accessories like a fancy water bottle, new leather gym bag or new set of weights. If he's a runner, opt for a GPS running watch, pedometer or new running shoes. For a hiker, try new hiking gear, books on hiking or, best of all, a hiking trip with you. If he's into a particular sport --- baseball, basketball, football, lacrosse, rugby or martial art s--- give sports gear or sportswear appropriate for that sport. Maybe he's signed up for a charity marathon or three-on-three basketball game. Sponsor him and be there to cheer him on.

    Leisure Gifts

    • Some men prefer to spend their free time at home relaxing in front of the TV with a salty snack and cold beverage. If your brother is one of these couch potatoes, he'd love a Blu-ray player accompanied by an assortment of new DVDs, a gaming system along with a bunch of new video games, or a universal remote. He'd also appreciate a new set of beer mugs, shot glasses and a gift basket full of his favorite beers and snacks, such as potato chips and beer nuts. If he's worn out his favorite couch or chair from spending so much time on it, consider giving him a recliner.

    Green Gifts

    • For environmentally friendly brothers, think green. Buy him clothes and accessories made out of hemp, reclaimed wool and raw silk. Give him a burlap sack or an accessory made out of vegan leather, such as a phone case, wallet or belt. For his home, give him organic cotton bedding or a counter top bag dryer so he can reuse his plastic baggies.
