Packing List for FBI Academy
The Federal Bureau of Investigation Academy is located on a Marine Corps base in Quantico, Va. Training at the academy initiates new FBI agents and analysts and conducts continuing education for existing law enforcement leaders. Academy trainees live in dormitories for the duration of their training. Trainees need to pack wisely, because closet and personal space is limited.

Clothing

Pack enough standardized classroom uniforms for five days of the week. Uniforms include a hat, sweatshirt, shirt, pants, gym shirt and gym shorts. Bring one pair each of court shoes, running shoes and brown low-cut shoes similar to hiking boots. Include warm clothing for outdoor training such as gloves, stocking hats and boots. Bring professional business attire for training days when you are not in a classroom uniform.
Linens and Toiletries

Pack a shower caddy or shower tote for locker room toiletry items. Bring travel sizes of shampoo, soap and other essentials. Pack flip-flop sandals for locker room use. Include long-twin sized bed sheets and pillow cases if preferred over using those provided.

Trainees who are new FBI employees do not receive their first paycheck for two full pay periods, at least four weeks. Bring enough spending money to cover those first weeks. Other trainees should bring enough money to cover their training time. The campus is fairly remote from local services, but a full-service bank is available on the academy campus.

There is no wake up service, so bring an alarm. A humidifier will help offset dry winter air. Irons are not provided. Personal radios, portable music players and cameras are allowed.
