Where Is the Depth Adjustment on the DeWalt DW362 Circular Saw?
DeWalt has been making tools since 1922, when Raymond DeWalt invented the radial-arm saw to help his company be more efficient. Now, DeWalt Power Tools makes more than 200 electric power tools. Because it is easily handled and portable, the circular saw is a necessity for every toolbox. With changes constantly happening to improve products, the DeWalt 362 circular saw is no longer being manufactured. But whether it is the DeWalt 362 or another model, the basic shape, purpose, and placement of the circular-saw features remain the same. Does this Spark an idea?

The lever for adjusting the depth of the DeWalt 362 circular saw is found at the bottom-left side when the saw is facing forward.
Making Adjustments

Make sure the saw is unplugged from the power outlet. Holding the saw with a firm grip, pull the lever up. You should feel the saw pull up and down when holding the bottom plate and pulling up on the handle.

For a Carbide Tipped Blade

Raise the circular saw until 1/2 of the lowest blade tooth is beneath the bottom of the piece of wood you are cutting.
For a Non-Carbide Tipped Blade

Raise the circular saw until all of the lowest blade tooth is beneath the bottom of the piece of wood you are cutting.
Setting the Adjustment

Push down on the lever until it is tight. Plug in the DeWalt 362 circular saw and finish the cut.
