Places to Have a Party for Kids Near Elkton, MD
Elkton, Maryland is located in the far northeastern corner of Maryland. It's actually the last exit on Interstate 95 before you enter the state of Delaware. There are not a lot of party locations in Elkton itself, but it is less than 30 minutes from both Newark, Delaware and Wilmington Delaware, which offer many party opportunities to help children celebrate their birthdays with family and friends. If your birthday child is a hockey fan, figure skating fan or just enjoys ice skating, Skate Wilmington offers entertainment for him and his friends. Birthday parties can be held on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. Packages range in price from $7 to $14, per child as of 2011. The cheapest package only includes admission and ice skate rentals with a table, you bring your own supplies. The higher end packages include those items as well as pizza, soda, balloons and a pass for the birthday boy to get in to Skate Wilmington free another day. To reserve a party, there must be a minimum of eight guests. These are not private parties, the ice is still available for others to skate on.
Pleasant Hill Lanes

Pleasant Hill Lanes offers a "no frills" environment for a birthday party at a low cost. The first hour of bowling is $6 per person, with each additional hour costing an additional $2 per guest. Children's parties are limited to two hours, with adults having up to three hours. Bowling shoe rentals, the use of bowling balls and staff entering your child's name and friend's names into the scoring machine is included. Food is not, but you can purchase it from the concession stand. At least four people must be on each lane. Pleasant Hill Lanes requires 48 hour advance notice for reservations.

If your child enjoys dining out and wants to have a fancier meal than just pizza or hamburgers, take him and his friends to Kid Shellens for his birthday dinner. You can book a private room for your party, and have a pasta station. The children will get to choose their own pasta, sauce and meat and be able to watch the chef make the meal right in front of him. Prices vary widely based on the meats you choose for the pasta station, or other items you may wish to have on a buffet. The room has several televisions in it to entertain the children.
Mid Atlantic Grand Prix

The Mid Atlantic Grand Prix allows the birthday child and her friends to race a go-kart and enjoy pizza for a birthday meal. Kids must be at least 9 years of age to race at a Mid Atlantic Grand Prix birthday party. As of 2011, for $30 per child each child participates in one race, gets one slice of pizza and soda. For $15 more, each child gets an extra race. Parties at Mid Atlantic Grand Prix require a minimum of eight children.
