Elementary Talent Show Ideas for Boys

Elementary boys can perform many different types of talents either alone or in a group.

Elementary schools hold talents shows as fundraisers and friendly competitions that highlight the abilities of the children. Boys who enjoy performing can choose from many activities that they learn both at home and at school. Elementary-aged boys can perform in groups or individually for the talent show for a fun and educational event with their friends.

Musical Instrument Performance

Boys in elementary school are often beginning to learn a musical instrument such as piano, band instruments or strings. The children can perform an instrument solo at the talent show to form a small ensemble with other boys from their music class. So that they are less nervous, have the children perform a song that they learned in class. Popular instruments include strings, drums, brass, piano and wind instruments.

Song and Dance

Many elementary schools have music and dance classes where the boys learn a variety of songs that they can perform at a talent show. The boys can put together a classic or contemporary song with or without dance moves that they can perform for the audience. The children can also have friends who play instruments accompanying them on their song.

Magic is popular with elementary-aged boys and is a good act for talent shows. The children can have the audience members volunteer to help with the tricks or they can have a friend act as an assistant. Many tricks require inexpensive props that you can find around the house, which makes the tricks easy to practice and master.

Theatrical Performance

Groups of boys can perform together to act out a skit. Some elementary schools have drama classes where the children can learn a skit or they can use their creativity to write a skit of their own. The skits can also include songs and dances to incorporate more talents into the act. Individuals can also perform monologues at the talent show if they want to showcase themselves.
