Art History Grad Schools
Many schools throughout the world offer art history programs. They are often doctoral programs, which means that although a student can pursue a master's degree, a master's degree is not the end point of the program. Students who are interested in teaching in the field of art history will often look to major universities to attain a graduate degree.

University of Chicago
-
The University of Chicago, located in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, offers programs of study in art history and the theory of art, both of which lead to a doctorate. The program offers a variety of fields of study, including modern and contemporary art, Asian art, ancient art, Islamic art, medieval and early modern art. The program is for the student who desires a doctorate, so students seeking only a master's degree should apply to the University of Chicago's Master's Program in Humanities where they can specialize in art history.
