While most teen girls have probably outgrown the desire for plush bunnies and toys, some may still enjoy receiving a basket on Easter morning. Tailor the basket to her more grownup tastes by filling it with small luxury items she can actually use and appreciate. Whatever items you choose, don't forget to include a chocolate bunny or two -- because even teenagers appreciate candy.
Fill a basket with luxurious bath products, such as bubble bath, facial masks and manicure sets. Round out the gift with cosmetics, nail polish and soaps. Use a plastic basket made for holding cosmetics or bath items instead of a traditional wicker Easter basket, and line it with pretty sponges or loofahs instead of Easter grass. Include a gift certificate to a day spa or for a manicure and pedicure to complete the basket.
Your teen girl may not appreciate your taste in clothing, but accessories are often easier to pick out successfully. Line a basket with a T-shirt or two in your teen's favorite colors. Add jewelry and hair accessories that fit her personal style. Belts, socks and sunglasses are other options most teen girls enjoy. Choose accessories your teen would like, not those you would prefer to see her wear. Include a small gift certificate to a favorite clothing store to help her complete an outfit.
Take inspiration from your teen's hobbies and interests when creating a basket. Include scrapbooking embellishments and other art supplies for a crafty teen. Books, stationery and sports equipment are suitable for teens who enjoy reading, writing or playing a sport. If your teen has a favorite band or celebrity, fill the basket with CDs, DVDs or gift certificates to purchase these items on her own.
Help your teen get ready for spring and summer with a basket filled with beach items. Instead of the traditional wicker basket, use a beach bag. Fill it with a swimsuit, a beach towel and a fashionable coverup. Add some accessories, such as sunglasses and sunscreen, and top it off with tickets to a water park or amusement park, a beach ball or a pair of flip-flops.
