Training Schools for Bookkeeping
Bookkeepers track financial transactions within a business. Though many positions only require on-the-job training, additional education opportunities increase growth within the field. Bookkeeping training programs offer not only general education in the field but certification as well. Certified bookkeepers are projected to be in demand for their ability to complete a variety of tasks. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, growth in the bookkeeping field will continue to grow in the future.

National Association of Certified Public Bookkeepers: NACPB Certification

The Association offers a license and certification program that includes an all-online testing process. Covered topics include payroll, sales, accounting overview and financing.

American Institute of Professional Bookkeepers

The Institute offers a certification program for bookkeepers that includes a comprehensive nationally recognized exam. In order to qualify to have the initials "CB" after their name, bookkeepers must also meet experience requirements and agree to a code of ethics with the Institute.
