Pentecostal Youth Ministry Activities
Activities for a Pentecostal youth ministry are not too different from youth ministries in other denominations. The purpose of the youth ministry is to encourage young people in their walk with Christ, teach them the commands of Scripture and to build long-lasting friendships with fellow church members. When deciding on activities for the youth ministry, you want to consider what lessons you're trying to teach your group members through the activities.

Current Events and Bible Study
-
One way to show group members how the Bible relates to current events is to hold a discussion on recent social and political issues and refer to specific Bible verses dealing with these issues. You can give each group member a copy of a local newspaper article then ask them to write down five Bible verses that best describes the problem at hand in each article. For example, if one group member reads an article about how parents are overindulging their children with material things, he can refer to Ecclesiastes 5, which warns people not to become overly materialistic because they can't take their possessions with them when they die.
Community Outreach
-
Another idea is to have an activity where group members are learning the importance of serving others. If you live in a neighborhood where there's a high number of senior citizens who live alone, you can start a grocery shopping and delivery service where you and the group members shop for and deliver groceries every weekend for the senior citizens in your neighborhood. If you live near a few hospitals, you and the group members can prepare gift baskets and take them to patients.

Bible and Relationships
-
Because relationships are a major part of young people's lives, you can hold a weekly afternoon seminar on what the Bible says about dating and preparation for marriage. To help you in conducting the seminar, you should get your Bible and Bible dictionary and write down all verses you see which deal with relationships and marriage. During the seminars, ask each person to write down five questions so you can discuss them and look in the Bible for answers.
Bowling Night
-
Another idea is to take your youth group to the bowling alley for a night of fun. Ask the group members to bring their friends and relatives, and seek out food donations from adult church members for you to bring to the alley. You can also create some fun bowling games and give away prizes to winners.
