Use your favorite teen photos to make scrapbook pages.

The teen years are full of memories, so it's a good time to start creating scrapbooks. Teen scrapbook pages should contain photos, text, paper souvenirs and embellishments, from stickers to hand-cut paper to ribbon. Plan for scrapbook pages before special events, to ensure you'll have plenty of photographs. Scrapbook materials can be found at craft stores and online.

  1. Travels

    • Family vacations, band trips, travels with religious groups, and time overseas in exchange student programs can all be the subject of scrapbook pages. In addition to photos, save things like airline ticket stubs, currency, or news clippings to add to the page. A well-planned scrapbook page not only preserves your travel memories and friendships, it also makes it easy to share your experiences with family and friends back home.

    Activities

    • Make scrapbook pages for activities like school dances, plays, concerts, fundraisers, and summer camp counseling. These events are often considered minor compared to activities like graduation, but they can have just as much impact -- or more. Capture friendships, inside jokes, and special days, along with ticket stubs, programs, and other small souvenirs. For activities like plays and camp, collect signatures on paper stock and use it as the back of the scrapbook page.

    Sports

    • If you're on a sports team for your school or community, a scrapbook page is a good way to preserve team and candid photos, newspaper clippings, and the team's autographs. Look for paper stock and glitter in your school's or team's colors, use sports-themed embellishments such as ribbon and die-cuts to make borders, and choose high school letter-style lettering to create the text.

    Best Friends

    • Organize photos of you and your best friends by asking your friends to help create scrapbook pages. Plan scrapbook pages with your best friend, where each of you make a special page about your friendship, then exchange them so that she has a page made by you, and you have a page made by her. Make scrapbook pages featuring other special relationships, such as sisters or a special teacher, or create a Valentine's Day page featuring photos of you and your main squeeze.

    Special Events

    • Special events such as high school graduation, milestone birthdays, the prom, and passing your driver's test are all scrapbook-worthy; there are plenty of ready-made scrapbook embellishments for the big teen events. Make your own "yearbook" pages about your senior year in high school featuring your friends and activities from your final year of high school. Split the scrapbook pages into the four sections to show what you were doing in the fall, winter and spring, and on graduation day.
