Rosamond Gifford Zoo

Rosemand Gifford Zoo, home to more than 900 animals, offers a seven-week full and half-day camp program. The program is adapted to each age level and led by trained zoo staff members. Each session includes a maximum of eight children and offers hands-on activities, arts and crafts and games. Children are introduced to different animals that reside at the zoo. Camp fees for the seven week session, as of January 2011, include half day sessions at $115 and $135 and full day camp sessions at $195 and $215.
Camp Iroquois

Camp Iroquois is run by the YMCA of Greater Syracuse and offers four two-week sessions. Located on 58 acres of land, this camp is the oldest continuously operating day camp in the country. The camp provides activities such as swimming in the in-ground pool or lake, horseback riding, climbing wall, archery, basketball, and a covered pavilion for activities on rainy days. Arts and crafts, nature studies, sports, games, canoeing and archery are offered with lessons available. Extra care is available before and after camp times for an additional fee. As of 2011, member rates are $315 for a two-week session and $370 for non-members.

Syracuse University offers a full- and half-day Junior Orange Summer Soccer Day Camp for children ages 6 to 12. The camp is lead by Syracuse University soccer members who teach children basic skills and drills. Individual training as well as group activities are offered with tournaments held throughout the day. Participants receive a NIKE T-shirt and can bring a lunch or purchase from the lunch program for an additional fee. Full day rates are $180 per camper and half-day sessions are $125 for a one-week session. Before and after camp care is available for an additional fee.
Camp Talooli

Camp Talooli is an American Camp Association and New York State accredited and licensed day camp. The camp offers a full day program for children 6 to 12. Activities offered to the campers include swimming lessons, arts and crafts, games, boating and nature walks. Campers are asked to bring their own lunch, swim suit, towel and extra clothing. Staff members are fully trained to handle situations involving young children. A registered nurse is on-site everyday. One-week sessions run from the first week of July through the last week in August for $195 per week. Registration forms, along with medical forms, can be downloaded and printed off the camp website.
