All kinds of organic vinegar are known to be non-toxic disinfectants, and they are odorless when dry. Organic apple cider vinegar is known to have many more nutrients and healing properties than ordinary apple cider vinegar when ingested, but for cleaning purposes both will produce similar results. Clean Wood
-
Make furniture polish using 1/4 cup organic apple cider vinegar with a few drops of olive oil. The vinegar will clean the wood safely while the olive oil is a natural wood protectant. You can add lemon juice to the mix to create a fresh clean smell in your home. Lemon juice is also an effective natural disinfectant, and it is harmless to the wood. Use clear organic vinegar if you are concerned about the staining of the apple cider vinegar.
Clean Glass, Cut Grease, Kill Weeds
-
Use full strength organic vinegar for glass cleaner. Put vinegar in an old spray bottle, use and wipe with a paper towel. Use vinegar to clean your cutting board. The vinegar will effectively cut grease, disinfect the cutting board, and naturally deodorize the board. Use straight organic vinegar as a natural weed killer. A vinegar mix will safely gut grime from a hardwood floor. Use 1/2 cup organic apple cider vinegar, a gallon of water, a dash of olive oil, and a dash of lemon juice.

Disinfect, Reduce Stains, Eliminate Mildew
-
Use clear organic vinegar as a disinfectant for all surfaces such as counter tops, floors, ovens, and your bathroom. To clean tile floors, mix 1/2 cup organic vinegar per gallon of hot water. Add lemon juice for a fresh scent. Do not use vinegar to clean marble. Use plain organic vinegar on tile and porcelain to cut grime, reduce stains and eliminate mildew. Apply the vinegar to the tile, and leave it on for a few minutes. Scrub it off with a scrub brush.
Deoderize
-
Set a bowl of plain organic vinegar in a hidden area of your home to absorb odors in the air. This method has even been shown effective with hard-to-beat odors such as cigarette smoke, pet odors and bathroom odors. Some people even put a bit of vinegar in the pot while cooking cabbage to reduce cabbage odors. Add fragrance to your organic cleaner by boiling the vinegar with cloves, lavender, fresh flowers, organic fragrance oil, or even cinnamon.
